Pink Floyd Box Set Out Dec. 4

2007, the year of Pink Floyd's 40th anniversary, will come to a close with a spectacular flourish, Capitol/EMI's December 4 release of Oh By the Way , a limited edition box set which contains, for the first time ever, the band's 14 studio albums. These classic albums are presented on CD in mini vinyl wallets with all the original extras also miniaturized.

Fender to Reissue Stevie Ray Vaughan's “Lenny” '65 Stratocaster

In a collaboration between Fender, Guitar Center and the Stevie Ray Vaughan estate, the famous Stevie Ray Vaughan “Lenny” Stratocaster guitar has been commissioned by Guitar Center to be reproduced in a limited edition by the Fender Custom Shop. As part of Fender's Tribute Series of guitars, Lenny will be produced in a limited quantity, with 185 guitars offered for sale in the United States exclusively through Guitar Center. Guitar Center stores throughout the United States will introduce the guitar on December 12, 2007 at a price of $17,000.

Iron Maiden Announce Ambitious World Tour

Iron Maiden have announced their most ambitious and extraordinary touring plans ever, which will include Australia for the first time in 15 years. The Somewhere Back in Time World Tour 2008 will take place in three sections, starting in February and March 2008 with the first leg encompassing major concerts in 20 selected cities on five continents in seven weeks including India, Japan, North America, Central and South America and, of course, Australia, opening in Perth on February 4 and continuing through Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

 

Gibson to Issue new Dave Grohl Signature Model

Gibson Guitar has announced the release of the new Dave Grohl model guitar, the DG-335, that will be available on Thursday, October 4. This new guitar is inspired by Grohl's much loved Trini Lopez signature model. The new model, created by the artisans at the Gibson Custom Shop with the input of Grohl himself, will provide rock fans a chance to channel the Foo Fighters' renowned lead singer.
